V8 - Notifications

Notifications

SOS Inventory has a full in-app notification system similar to what you see in other web-based products like FaceBook and even Google Mail. It allows you to see notifications generated from different actions taken in the system, including alerts, AOP rules, or newly-assigned transactions. Within the application, SOS Inventory will alert you that you have messages by using a number on the Task bar's Notifications (bell) icon.

When you select the icon, a short title for each notification appears in a list. Notifications can be deleted by clicking on the trash can. You can also select the See all notifications link at the bottom of the list. This will take you to the Notifications page, where you can manage the notifications and see when they were sent.

Sending notifications via text or email

You can set whether you also want to receive notifications by email and/or text via the User settings page, located on the Task bar under the User menu.  The system will use your login email address and the mobile phone provided in your User profile to send the notifications. Regardless of the option you choose, all notifications will continue to appear in the application's Notifications feature.
