V8 - Tags
A tag is a keyword used as a filter for items in SOS Inventory. Tags enable you to group related items together for searching and reporting purposes, and they allow you to narrow the items displayed on a list page via the Change filter feature. Tags can be included in certain reports if you select the Tags column when selecting your desired column options for the report.
Adding and managing tags
A tag is added in the Tags field of an item's Edit page, as shown in the screenshot above. If you include multiple tags in the item definition, use a comma between tags as a separator. Once a tag has been added to an item definition, the tag appears in the Tags list (Company menu > Miscellaneous > Tags) and will appear in the Tags dropdown of Change filter options for items.
Tags can also be added directly to the Tags list by selecting the list's Add new button, although this method is not commonly implemented. Using the Delete action or batch action removes tags from the Tags list and the Tags field filter on the Items list but not currently from item definitions.
