V9 - Activity log

SOS Inventory provides an Activity log that is very similar to the Audit log in QuickBooks Online. The Activity log allows you to track the history of actions taken by users in SOS Inventory. To view the Activity log, go to the Activity log list (Tools & settings > Activity log).

The log can be filtered to display exactly what you want to see so that you can track down suspicious activity or find out who performed a certain action. Once you find the entry you are looking for, selecting the Go to action will take you to the Object on its associated list. You can then open the record for viewing or editing, as desired. Like other lists in SOS Inventory, rows of data records can be sorted by column in ascending or descending order by toggling the arrow next to a heading.

If you want to get a copy of this list in spreadsheet format, click on the download icon under the words Activity log. Please note that the download will be of the currently displayed page, not all pages.

The Activity log allows administrators to view what actions have been taken on transactions and other data, by whom, and when.

The Filters pop-up of the Activity log.

In addition to the results displayed per page, Activity log filters include the Action performed, a Quick date selector button or date range, the Type of data to display, and the User who performed the action. Select the filter options desire and click Apply to rebuild the list. You can also select Clear to reset the page to default filters.
