The Ready to pick/ship report (Operations > Reports > Fulfillment > Ready to pick/ship) lists items on sales orders and sales receipts that are ready to be picked and shipped.
While the basics for running any report in SOS Inventory are covered in Reporting introduction and Running a report, the filters, options, and columns specific to the Ready to pick/ship report are explained below.
From date and To date.
Location. Select All or an individual location. All is the default.
Item name contains. Type all or part of an item name to display matching items.
Customer. Choose the desired customer from the dropdown.
Order type. Select the sales transaction type to include in the report. Options include All, Sales orders, or Sales receipts. The default is Sales orders.
Show only orders that can ship in full. Displays only those sales orders and sales receipts that can be fully shipped.
Show only items that have been picked. Displays only those items on sales transactions that have been picked but not shipped.
Use available qty instead of on hand qty. Displays only those items on sales where the quantities are less than or equal to the available for sale. Line items with quantities that are above the quantity for sale will not show on the report. The default on-hand qty displays only those items on sales where the quantities are less than or equal to the on-hand level. If the quantity is above the on hand, the line would not show on this report.
Show "from" and "to" dates. If checked, shows a date range at the top of the report, based on your From date and To date filters. The date range appears when Display is selected under Retrieve your report. If the report is retrieved by Email or Download, the header will appear only if you print your spreadsheet. If a header is also entered for the report, the date range will be displayed below the header.
Group by. A set of options that allows you to group data on the report. The options include: None, Customer, Item, or Location. The default is None, which orders transactions by date, from oldest to newest. If your Group by option is set to Customer, Item, or Location, the report shows the name of each customer/item/location as a subheading, followed by all transactions that are ready to pick or ship. The transactions are also organized by date, from oldest to newest, followed by the Total line for the customer, item, or location.
Header. Enter header text for the report, if desired. The header appears when Display is selected under Retrieve your report. If the report is retrieved by Email or Download, the header will appear only if you print your spreadsheet.
Footer. Enter footer text for the report, if desired. The footer appears when Display is selected under Retrieve your report. If the report is retrieved by Email or Download, the footer will appear only if you print your spreadsheet and will show above the system-generated text, Report Generated [date] [timestamp].
The default columns for the Ready to pick/ship report are Order #, Order Date, Txn Type, Customer, Item, Description, Ordered, Picked, Shipped, and On Hand. Twenty-seven additional SOS columns are available, as well as any custom fields you have created for pick tickets and shipments.
Please note that in SOS Inventory, Backordered refers to items on sales transactions that have not shipped.
The screenshot below of a sample Ready to pick/ship report is for the date range of July 1-14, 2026, at location Main Warehouse. All default columns except Description are shown, and two additional columns—Available and Backordered—have been included in the report.
The report shows that none of these items have been picked or shipped.

The Ready to pick/ship report shows all sales line by line. You may not see all the lines for a particular sale on the report, as only the items that are ready to be picked and shipped will be displayed.
