V9 - Items list

The data records of all items are stored on the Items list (Operations > Inventory > Items). In SOS Inventory, items can be whatever you need them to be: inventory that you stock and sell; non-inventory items such as drop-shipped products; assemblies and kits (item groups)categories that you assign to items; expenses you pay, such as fees associated with participating in trade shows; services that you offer, such as repairs; labor costs; and overhead expenses like rent, insurance, and utilities. You can also create items that do not fit into any of these types.

The screenshot below also shows two helpful features on the Items list:

An archived item can be identified by a vertical yellow bar to the left of its check box. Clicking an item's In stock quantity opens a pop-up that shows the quantity at each location.

Although all serial- and lot-tracked items are found in the Items list, the Serial inventory list and Lots list include specialized information that is not available in the Items list. See Serial inventory and Lots for more information.

For a general overview of how lists work in SOS Inventory, refer to List functions. Also, you may register for the class, Item Creation and Management.
