V9 - QuickBooks setting descriptions

Go to Tools & settings > Configuration > Connections > QuickBooks to modify QuickBooks Online settings.

Automatic sync.  Sync options include Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Never. When enabled, SOS Inventory will automatically sync with QuickBooks Online according to the schedule you specify. Choose Never if you want to do all synchronizations manually.

Class tracking. Allows grouping transactions by items within the same class for reporting purposes. If selected on transactions, classes will sync with QuickBooks Online.

Connect to QuickBooks. Selecting the Connect to QuickBooks button will take you to the QuickBooks Online login page, where you will enter your Intuit login credentials and then authorize QuickBooks Online to share your data with SOS Inventory. If you are not currently connected to QuickBooks Online, none of the other settings listed on this page will display.

Department tracking.  Allows grouping transactions for reporting purposes. If selected on transactions, the departments will sync with QuickBooks Online. Departments can also make it easier for auto-ship invoices and auto-ship sales receipts if the departments match the locations defined in SOS Inventory.

Disconnect. Selecting the Remove connection to QuickBooks will disconnect SOS Inventory from QuickBooks Online. You will not be able to synchronize your data between the two applications until you reconnect.

Post COGS to QuickBooks. Uncheck this box if you do not want SOS to post cost of goods sold to Quickbooks. This option is enabled by default, and we recommend that you leave it enabled. However, manual control over COGS postings might be desired in certain situations—for example, if postings are being duplicated due to QuickBooks Online Inventory tracking. Check with your accountant and/or SOS Support if you are unsure.

QuickBooks sync. The two options, Sync SOS Inventory to QuickBooks and Sync QuickBooks to SOS Inventory, work together to determine the overall synchronization of data. They can be used separately to provide a single-direction flow. If both options are checked, synchronization will be bidirectional. If neither option is checked, data does not synchronize in either direction.
