V8 - FTP
For data field definitions, see FTP field descriptions.
FTP, or File Transfer Protocol, enables files to be exchanged between network computers. SOS offers the Outbound option as the standard connection. If you are working with an EDI company, you can choose from either the Inbound or Inbound & Outbound options. SOS Inventory supports file transfers for imports, exports, and reports.
To establish an FTP connection, go to Settings > FTP connections, then select Add new. On the FTP Connection page, you will need to create a name and description for the connection, as well as supply the FTP address of the host server, the FTP login credentials, and the path to the remote server. After completing the data fields, Save and close.
This functionality currently connects to non-secure FTP servers, not secure FTP (SFTP) servers.
