V8 - ShipStation setup and use

SOS Inventory connects to the ShipStation app to provide you an easy way to ship your products using a number of vendors. To use this integration, go to Settings menu > ShipStation setup and follow the directions to configure ShipStation for use with SOS Inventory.

Once set up, any shipments created in SOS can be synced to ShipStation for further processing with a carrier of choice. In the ShipStation app, click the option Update stores to start the retrieval of shipments from SOS. Once a shipment is processed through a carrier and the label is created, ShipStation will send the tracking information back to SOS Inventory according to the Notifications settings of the store setup in ShipStation. If you wish for the tracking info to post from ShipStation to SOS Inventory immediately after the shipping label is created, set the Notifications settings in ShipStation to "Send marketplace notification when ... Shipping label is created."

Shipping methods must be created and mapped in their definitions to the carriers in ShipStation so that tracking information can sync back from ShipStation for the shipments to update. This means UPS method in SOS to UPS method in ShipStation for example.

edit_noteNOTE: Voiding a shipment in ShipStation does not remove the tracking information in SOS. You must manually update the shipment transaction.
edit_noteNOTE: Only shipments with two-digit country codes will sync to ShipStation. If you don't want a transaction to go over during the update, then use a country name instead.
